Travel & Stay
La Paz
It's not Cabo.
That's exactly why we chose it.
La Paz is the kind of place that rewards people who show up. Fewer resorts, more sea lions. A slower pace, incredible food, and one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the world, the Sea of Cortez. We fell in love with it and we're so excited to share it with you.
Weather in March
High 70s°F, low humidity, plenty of sunshine. It's a good time to be in La Paz.
Getting There
Fly into Manuel Márquez de León International Airport (LAP) and take an uber to your hotel— direct flights are available from San Diego and Tijuana. Some guests fly into Los Cabos (SJD) and drive up the peninsula — it's about 2 hours and a beautiful drive along the coast.
Getting Around
Uber works in La Paz. Taxis are easy and affordable. Renting a car is a great option if you want to explore on your own schedule. We'll share more transportation details as we get closer to the date.
Things to Do
La Paz is worth making a real trip out of. Here are some of our favorite things to do:
Swim with whale sharks — La Paz is one of the only places in the world you can do this ethically and up close. Book your tour in advance.
Espíritu Santo Island — A UNESCO biosphere reserve with sea lions, snorkeling, and scenery that's hard to believe is real.
The Malecón — La Paz's waterfront promenade. Walk it at sunset and you'll understand why we love this place.
The food — Try El Bismark for fresh seafood, wander the taco carts, get a ceviche tostada and just stand there with it for a moment.
The Sea of Cortez — Jacques Cousteau called it "the world's aquarium." Spend even a little time on the water and you'll see why.
